New Salvations

Tonight during our service we has four kids pray to recieved Christ. It came about as a result of announcing an upcoming baptism. In the process of asking who wanted to be baptized we found out that some of the kids ha never asked Jesus into their hearts and Connie had the opportunity to lead them in a prayer for salvation.

I thoughtnit was pretty cool that it came at the end of a lesson about living life as a trust given to us by God. I look forward to seeing these four new Christians grow in there relationship with the Lord.

Seeing Life from God's View Part 2

Last week we learned that life is a test.
This week we are going to find out that life on earth is also a trust.

Everything we have, our energy, intelligence, opportunities. relationships, and resources are gifts from God. --Psalms 24:1

We never really own anything, but God loans us everything while we are here. – Genesis 1:28

Everything we have is to be treated as a trust that God placed in our hands. – 1 Corinthians 4:7

Are we going to be told Well Done? – Matt 25:21

What do we get?
Affirmation – “Good Job! Well Done!”
A Promotion – “I will put you in charge of many things.”
Celebration – “Come share in your master's happiness.”

Most People fail to realize that money is both a test and trust from God. – Luke 16:11

Life is a test and a trust the more God gives you, the more responsible he expects you to be. – Luke 12:48

Point to Ponder
Life is a trust.
Verse to Remember
“Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won't be faithful in large ones.” – Luke 16:10
Question to think about
Is the way I treat my things preventing God from doing more in my life? Can I be trusted with spiritual riches?

Seeing Life from God's View Part 1

What is your life? – James 4:14
We don't see things as they are, we see them as we are. – Anais Nin

The way you see your life shapes your life. It determines your values, your relationships, your goals and your priorities.

To fulfill the purpose God created you for you will have to replace your life view with God's life view. – Romans 12:2

The bible offers three examples that teach us God's view of life:
Life is a test, life is a trust, and life is a temporary assignment.

Character is both developed and revealed by tests, and all of life is a test.

God tests: our faith through problems,
our hope by possessions,
our love through people.

God tested Hezekiah. – 2 Chronicles 32:31

Once we learn that life is a test we realize that nothing is insignificant in your life.

God always provides a way out. – 1 Corinthians 10:13

God rewards you when you pass a test. – James 1:12

Point to Ponder
Life is a test.

Verse to Remember
Blessed are those who endure when they are tested. When they pass the test, they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. – James 1:12

Made to Last Forever

God has . . . planted eternity in the human heart. --Ecclesiastes 3:11

Surely God would not have created such a being as man to exist only for a day! No, no man was made for immortality. --Abraham Lincoln

This life is where we __train__ for the next.

You might live 100 years here, but you will spend __forever__ in eternity.

God designed you in His __image__, to life forever.

The Bible calls your earthly body a __tent__ but refers to your future body as a __house__. – 2 Corinthians 5:1

Eternity only has two choices __heaven__ or __hell__ .
There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, “Thy will be done” and those to whom God says, “All right then, have it your way.” --C.S. Lewis

The closer you live to God, the __smaller__ everything else appears. --Philippians 3:7

What is Heaven like? 1 Corinthians 2:9 and Matthew 25:34

This world is not our __home__ .
--Hebrews 13:14 and II Corinthians 5:6
Point to Ponder
There is more to life than just here and now.

Verse to Remember
This world is fading away, along with everything it craves. But if you do the will of God, you will live forever. – 1 John 2:17
